Alice Faulkner Hardy

She was born in Kinston, NC on May 28, 1946 to Ernest Q. Faulkner and Isabelle Turner Faulkner. She was married to Butch Hardy for 43 years.

Alice graduated from ECU in 1968. Alice worked as a math teacher for Lenoir County Schools (Kinston High). Alice donated to ECU Endowment Scholarships faithfully.

She had a passion for bird watching, gardening and taking cruises.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Butch Hardy; her father, Ernest Q. Faulkner; and her mother, Isabelle Turner Faulkner.

She is survived by her sister, Ella Faulkner Alexander; brother-in-law, John Alexander; son, Brett Faulkner Hardy (Gina) of Fayetteville; daughter, Karen Hardy Stroud of Apex; grandchildren, Peyton Hardy, Logan Hardy of Fayetteville, and Katelyn Stroud of Apex.

A Visitation will be held at Brown Wynne Cary on Tuesday August 20,2024 at 10:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am in the Brown Wynne Chapel, 200 SE Maynard Cary, NC 27511.
