Peggy Sue Findley Prather

Peggy Sue Findley Prather of Acworth, GA passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021. She was born in Fairmount, GA on the 4th of July in 1935 to the late Harley and Kathaleen Johnsey Findley. Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy, sisters Martha Taylor, Jane Layton and Judy Heath and her lifelong BFF, Mary Ferguson. She is survived by her daughter Cindy, sister Patsy Bennett, nieces and nephews and her beloved honorary granddaughters, Isabella and Cecilia Ramirez.

As Office Manager for Ivan Allen Company for many years before her retirement, Peggy received several company-wide awards for her dedication to extraordinary customer service.

Peggy made her commitment to the Lord early in life at age 10 and never wavered in her faith. Funny and stubborn, she was a loving mother, a loyal friend and a fierce prayer warrior. She loved animals, spring flowers and Hallmark Christmas movies; her homemade chocolate happy cakes were legendary.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, followed by a graveside service at 1:30pm at Sunset Memory Gardens. No dark, somber colors, please. The family requests that you honor Peggy by wearing something bright and joyful and rejoice with us that she’s with her heavenly Father.
