Marion Lester Elder

Mr. Marion Lester Elder, 95, formerly of Forest Park, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. Mr. Elder was also a former resident of the Fite Living Center. He was born on December 4, 1927 to the late Walter Leon Elder and Ona Estes Elder.

Mr. Elder retired after 30 years from Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, Georgia. He enjoyed camping, traveling, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Mr. Elder was a proved member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry.

Mr. Elder is preceded in death by his loving wife, Vera Lee McAdam Elder; siblings, Arthur (Catherine), Jewel, Cecil (Etta), Dorothy, and Bobby Ray (Linda).

He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Dean) Bagwell; son, Mark (Terri) Elder; grandsons, Andy Elder, Matt (Kat) Elder, Tyler (Britney) Bagwell, and Bentley (Amanda) Bagwell; great grandchildren, McKinley, Peyton, Jaxon, and Barrett Bagwell; several nieces and nephews; sister in laws, Dot McAdam, Dale McAdam, and Linda Elder.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 2851 HWY 140, Rydal, Georgia 30171.

Friends and family are cordially invited to a visitation on Wednesday, the 29th of November, 2023 from ten o'clock in the morning until the hour of service at the church. Internment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow the internment.
