Mrs. Vaughn was born in Bartow County on May 15, 1923, daughter of the late Thomas Clements Hunt and Jannie Davis Hunt.
Mrs. Vaughn is preceded in death by her sons, Earl, Bobby and Wendell Prather; daughter, Elizabeth Prather Gibby; sisters, Tommy Smith, Rachel Davis and Ruby Lee Willis.
Survivors include her daughter, Wilma (Lex) Barker, sons, Dwight (Mary) Vaughn and Anthony Prather; numerous grandchildren; sisters, Frankie Fennell, Annette Boswell and Jennie McCollum; thirty-six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two o'clock in the afternoon until four on Thursday, the 11th of May, 2017 at Owen Funeral Home.
