Joseph Herman Martin

Joe was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam.

Joe is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Martin Waldrop. He is survived by his daughters, Carla Martin, Paula Martin, Sonia Bradley; grandchildren, Halen Groce, Myles Ross, Matthew Ross, Noah Beatty; great-grandchild, Rylynn Ross; brother, Jack (Gail) Martin; mother of Joe’s daughters, Imogene Godfrey Long; nephews, Travis Martin, Casey Martin; sister of late Christopher Martin Waldrop, Vanessa Waldrop, several cousins and extended family that meant the world to Joe.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2: 00 pm on Friday, April 16, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Travis J. Martin officiating. The interment will follow at Euharlee Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Myles Ross, Matthew Ross, Noah Beatty, Terry Miller, Halen Groce, Brett Hart and Harvey Templeton serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers donation may be made in memory of Joe to Wellstar Tranquility 475 Dickson Ave NW., Marietta, GA 30064. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the family request everyone wear a mask and social distance.
