James Lee

Mr. Lee was born on November 4, 1945 in Chicago Heights, IL, son of the late Otis E. Lee and Wilma Leininger.

Mr. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War with the 196 Light Infantry. Mr. Lee was a long time cross-country truck driver and also worked in maintenance for thirty years at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. In his spare time he took interest in building and flying remote control airplanes and boating on Lake Allatoona with his family.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Butch Lee; sister, Carol Nelson.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-six years, Gloria Bridgeman Lee; sons, Donald Lee, Jimi (Phoebe) Lee and Jason Lee; step-children, Randy Burton, Tina (Rob) Will and Steve (Angie) Burton; grandchildren, Justin Lee, Brittney Lee, Kaitlin Lee and Stella Lee; step-grandchildren, Rachel Pope, Danielle (Fabien) Brooks, Sara Will and Jamie Will; step-great-grandchildren, Devin Pope, Xavier, Israel, Zair and Elijah Brooks; sister, Jackie; first wife and loyal friend, Jeanne Lee.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Emerson, 11 Franklin Loop SE Cartersville, GA 30121. Friends are cordially invited to a reception immediatelly following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Interment will be on Monday, February 5th at eleven o'clock in the morning at the Georgia National Cemetery.
