Elizabeth W. Russell

Mrs. Russell was born December 24, 1935 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of the late, Evelyn (Watts) and Thomas H. Wigglesworth. She was a retired nurse, was former Head Administrator of Springdale Nursing Home, Patient Advocate for Nursing Homes, loved animals and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Surviving is her husband of fifty five years, Tom Russell of Cartersville, children, Maggie and Randy Duncan of N. Augusta, N.C., Mitzie and Andy Sanders of Cartersville, Ginny and Mitch Dutto of Euharlee, Thomas J. Russell, Jr. and Wendy of Seattle, Washington, 7 grandchildren, Joe, Josh, Katie, Michael, Sam, Beth and Chris, great grandchild, Keeley, his brother, Thomas H. Wigglesworth, Jr. of Hilton Head, S.C., two sisters, Jody Osteen of Hilton Head, S.C., Judy Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church of Assissi with Deacon Miguel Echevarri officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10:00-11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Etowah Valley Humane Society.
