It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christina Maria Baker, of Temple Terrace FL, age 35. Although the loss of Christina was sudden, her love for life did not come to an end with her death. Those that love her will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Christina was born on November 16th, 1986 in Siegelsbach, Germany, daughter of James Lebroyn Carlisle, and Linda Maria Carlisle. At the age of seven, her family relocated to Cartersville, GA. Following graduation from Kennesaw State University, Christina met her husband Brent, and relocated to Tampa, FL, where she began her career as an accountant.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Christina; Daily talks with her mother on the phone, spending time with her family, reality TV, hot fries, and of course her fur baby Sydney. Any time she had the opportunity, Christina was ready to travel, and loved experiencing new places. To those that didn’t know her, Christina seemed reserved and standoffish, but to those that love her “that face” hid her kind heart and silly personality. Christina took great pride in her home and was an amazing mother to two wonderful children. She loved dancing and music, especially the Backstreet Boys, John Mayer, and Chevelle.
Christina was a city girl born in the country, but wherever she was, was home.
Christina is preceded in death by her grandparents, James Boyd Carlisle and Johann Maria Krenn.
Christina is survived by her parents; loving husband of 6 years, Brent Martin Baker; children, Kaylee Maria Baker, and Logan Martin Baker; brother, Michael Carlisle; sister, Melanie (Colby) Evans; nephews, Josh (Madeline) Bolton and Grayson Evans; niece, Amelia Carlisle; great-nephew, Fitz Bolton; great-niece, Tinsley Bolton; grandmother, Wilma Elliott; beloved dog, Sydney; a host of cherished extended family also survives in Germany.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 4th of June, 2022 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Bishop Mike Dowling officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
