Barry was born on July 29, 1946 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late David Elisha Bailey and Helen Marie Spencer Bailey.
Barry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Shaw Industries after twenty-two years of dedicated employment. He was an avid musician who could pick up any instrument and play music by ear. Everyone that knew Barry, knew him for his wild and hilarious sense of humor. He was always cutting up and having fun. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains and the beach every year with his family and especially his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Pam.
Barry is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Bailey Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Bailey; grandchildren, Brian and Brianna Landrum; daughter, Michelle (Brad Cothran) Bailey; grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Brown and Kerri Brown; three great-grandchildren; sister, Cathy Boston; nieces, Kim
(Barry) Bennett, Kelly Boswell and Lori (William) Whitfield; nephew, John (Shea) Seymour; several great-nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Scooter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at four o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 2nd of December, 2022 at Owen Funeral Home with Pastor Dallas Cornett, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, the 2nd of December, 2022 from two o’clock until four o’clock in the afternoon. The interment will be at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
