Michael Thomas Steves

Growing up in La Habra, CA as a 3rd generation Don Steves Chevrolet Family member, Mike was a gifted businessman running his fathers body shop behind the desk and the tools. He owned an auto upholstery shop for 20 years before moving to Carson Valley where he worked briefly at VIP Plastics and then became the manager for VIP Ranch.

Michael truly lived life to its fullest in Carson Valley, NV. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, barbecuing, an ice cold Coors, spending time with his family and dogs, and his good friends at the Taildragger Cafe in Minden and Senor Campos Mexican Restaurant in La Habra and, especially watching his beloved Denver Broncos play!

Michael served as a member of La Habra and Carson Valley Lions Club for 10 years.

Michael was kind, loving, and a devoted family man and friend. Everyone liked Mikey.

He is survived by wife Elizabeth, sons Curtis and Codie, granddaughters Amelia and Kaelynn, mother Linda, brothers John and Donald, sisters Barbara and Debbie, and beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to one of Michael’s favorite causes - Pine Nut Wild Horse Advocates (wildhorseadvocates.org) which supports keeping the wild ones wild through education would be very thoughtful.
