Debbie and her families' final and selfless act was to give the gift of life through tissue donation, and to give someone sight through cornea donation. . Whenever this happens, a statement is read to the surgeons and staff of the donor team before they proceed. Debbie's family wanted to share this with all of you, in her loving memory.
" If Debbie here before you now, does not speak to the caring and tender-hearted person she was, let us tell you more. She was a genuine hugger, she hugged with her whole heart. She was always the one to say good morning and goodbye at work - she loved her job. She started conversations with "Hey honey, how are you" - she was always in a good mood. Up until this day, she packed her sons lunch for him to pick up on his way to work - he'll be 22 next month. She was the best cook and made the best breakfasts. She was the older sister to two younger brothers whom she wrestled with as a little girl. She was the proud grandmother to her two-year old grandson Maverik who loved giving her kisses. She leaves behind her cowboy dad and sweet mother. She leaves behind a waiting room full of family and friends praying for a miracle. Finally she leaves behind her husband and best friend to whom she was an angel. So we pray over you now; we thank God for people like yourselves. That He has blessed you with the abilities of preserving His creation, and the abilities to flow the chain of life and light from one life to another. Thank you from the deepest depths of our family's heart - Debbie would be so thankful."
