Betty Irma Cushman

Betty Irma Jones went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, in her 83rd year. She passed peacefully in her home with her husband, Melvin Jones, by her side.

Betty was born to David Robinson and Harriet (Rickards) Robinson on March 30, 1940 in Eureka California. At the age of 2, she moved to Sacramento, California and graduated from Norte Del Rio High School. She married Melvin Lawrence Jones on January 31, 1958, and they have 3 children together; Randy (1959), Ralph (1961) and Lisa (1967-2020).

Throughout her life she was always devoted to her family and loved them unconditionally up to the end. She loved all kinds of animals and had many pets, from birds to fish, and from cats to dogs, but most definitely dogs were her favorite. She was an avid seamstress and up until her eyesight grew weak, made beautiful handmade quilts.

She dedicated herself to our Lord Jesus Christ in her late 30’s and was a shining light to those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin, her two sons, Randy (wife Katheryn) and Ralph (wife Cynthia), her 9 grandchildren and her 17 great grandchildren.

She was loved deeply and will truly be missed.
