John was a longtime member of First Baptist Church at The Fields where he served faithfully as a deacon, usher and served on the offering and records team.
Before starting Francis Oil Company, John worked as a fuel distributor for Gulf Oil Corporation for many years. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John loved his family dearly. Some of his favorite things to do were gardening, restoring a Model T pickup truck, and teasing and antagonizing those he loved. Most of all, spending time with his family was his favorite pastime.
John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Daisy; children, Debbie and Ronnie Inman; Johnny and Kelly Francis; Anna and David Brady; and Linda and Ford Baker; along with 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Plus for their loving care during his last days.
All floral arrangements may be delivered to First Baptist Church at The Fields.
