Dorothy Nell Miller

She married her one and only love, Albert Miller, on November 7, 1959. They had three children: Chris in 1965, Gary in 1972, and Misty in 1975.

Dorothy worked for the Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD for 27 years at Newman Smith High School. In her down time she loved to go shopping for antiques with her sister, Patricia Harris. She enjoyed crafts and would often make pillows and blankets for kids and her grandchildren.

Dorothy was a devoted wife and loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed the times where they could get together for visits and holidays.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents: Laura Bell Martin and Roy Millard Martin, sister: Patricia Harris, and husband of 62 years: Albert Miller.

She is survived by her children: Chris Miller of Carrollton, TX, Gary Miller of Carrollton, TX, and Misty Swafford of Carrollton, TX, and grandson: Timothy Swafford of Carrollton, TX. She is also survived by many family and friends who loved her.

A visitation for Dorothy will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 10am - 11am at Rhoton Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Furneaux Cemetery on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 11:30am.
