Memorial services for Diana Lynn Bishop Spoonemore, 70, of Dallas, Texas will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 11, 2018 at Metrocrest Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas with Pastor Jerry Hayes Officiating.

Diana Lynn Bishop Spoonemore passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas. Diana Lynn Bishop Spoonemore born June 30, 1948 in Harlen, Kentucky to Mr. Charles Frederick Bishop and Opalie Stephens.

Diana Lynn Bishop Spoonemore was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Frederick Bishop, Mother, Opalie Stephens, Sister Barbara Skidmore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her Son, James Spoonemore and Wife Brigette of Fate, Texas along with Grandson Taylor Spoonemore, Sister, Susie Bishop of Greenville, Texas, Niece, Stephanie Skidmore and son Levi of Cleburne, Texas, Niece Michelle Telfer and son, Josh Telfer and daughter Tiffany Telfer-Alvarez of Sulphur Springs, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Loving and caring Mother and Grandmother and Friend to all.

Somewhere in my heart beneath all my grief and pain,

Is a smile I still wear at the sound of your dear name.

The precious word is ‘MOTHER’, she was my world you see,

But now my heart is breaking cause she’s no longer here with me.

God chose her for His angel to watch me from above,

To guide me and advise me and know that I’m still loved.

The day she had to leave me when her life on earth was through,

God had better plans for her, for this, I surely knew.

When I think of her kind heart and all those loving years,

My memories surround me and I can’t hold back the tears.

She truly was my best friend, someone I could confide in,

She always had a tender touch and a warm and gentle grin.

I want to thank you Mother for teaching me so well,

And though the time has come that I must bid you this farewell.

I’ll remember all you’ve taught me and make you proud you’ll see.

Thank you my Dear Mother for all the love you showed me.

Although you’ve left this earth and now you’ve taken flight,

I know that you are here with me each morning, noon and night.

My grandma was A beautiful person

And I love her very much

She told me stories of this and that and such

We would sit and talk for hours on end

She was my best friend

we went to the fair

She brought me new clothes to wear

On A pony I did ride

I laugh till I almost died

We had so much fun

Till the day was done

My grandma is gone to A place in the sky

Here I’m left to wonder why

My grandma was the best grandma in the world

I loved her so much I am never going to forget her

She will be in my heart forever.......
