On April 21, 2016 William “Bill” James Meyer Sr. was reunited with his wife of 33 years, Diane, 11 years after her passing on September 5, 2005. Bill was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on May 28, 1934 to Gertrude and John William Meyer. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Charles. Bill proudly served in the United States Army twice. He worked as a mechanic, a shop manager. In 1981 he purchased Regal Tire after moving to Cape Coral, Fl. He also lived in Wickliffe, Oh, Loraine, Oh and Toledo, Oh. He enjoyed being with family, traveling, camping and horse racing. He is survived by 8 children: Bill Jr, Kim (Ron) Bradshaw, Bob (Hope Wietrzykowski), Kevin (Dawn), Michelle (Derrek) Joy, Robin (Kevin) Laurenti, Michael and John, 22 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren plus one on the way, and 8 grand puppies.
Funeral services will be at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 26th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Visitation will begin at 5 pm.
Inurnment will be at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
