William Charles Gull

William Charles Robert Gull, age 82, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Bill was born in Baraga, Michigan to Wilhelm Einer Gull and Leda Marie (nee: Fleming) Gull. He moved to Cape Coral 17 years ago from Brookfield, Wisconsin after the successful career in brokerage business. Bill started his brokerage career at Robert W Baird eventually leaving to become a principal founder of Cleary Gull Reiland McDevitt and Collopy.

Bill was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Bill was very involved at Royal Tee/Cape Royal Golf Club for many years. He managed the MGA golfers on Tuesdays and worked as a Starter for the course. His easy manner and welcoming presence was appreciated by everyone. It helped that he loved to make chocolate chip cookies and shared them with everyone he knew. Bill’s lifetime passion was running. Countless races and marathons were completed in the over six decades of his running career, which included competing in the Senior Olympics. Bill loved running with his children. He calculated that he ran around the world twice in his lifetime. Not bad for a guy that hated to travel!

Bill is survived by his loving family including his wife of 39 years, Lorraine Nellen Gull; six children, Catherine Margaret Gull, Karen Gull (Michael) Mann, Sara Dnell (Scott) Hutchins, Dana Maria McGuire, Megan Gull (Kevin) Lane, Spencer Joseph (Amy) Gull; nine grandchildren, Michael Wyatt Mann, William Nash Mann, Bailey Sage McGuire, Avrie Briana McGuire, Easton Chase McGuire, Colton William Lane, Everett Zachary Lane, Abigail Lorraene Lane, Penelope Rose Gull; sister Leda (Stan) Nielsen; nephew, Chad (Anastasia) Nielsen. Bill loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and his extended family at

Cape Royal.

A service is planned in Milwaukee for Friday February 24th. There will be a 10:30am Mass at St Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church at 1260 Church Street Elm Grove WI 53122 Internment to follow indoors at Wisconsin Memorial Park 13235 W Capitol Drive Brookfield WI 53005. After the internment the Gull family invites everyone to join them for a luncheon celebration of Bill’s life at Biloba Brewery 2970 N Brookfield Road Brookfield WI. 53045
