Timothy Patrick Burns

Timothy was born on June 5th, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to William and Margaret Burns. Graduating from Bishop Hartley High School. Timothy had an astounding professional career, retiring as the Vice President of Global Sales for Meritor (formerly Rockwell Automotive, Arvin Meritor). Timothy was also an ambassador and board member for not only the purpose, but the inception, realization, and the evolution of the Freedom Center in Detroit Metro Airport, supporting all Veterans and Active Duty Military members and their families. Timothy was an incredibly dedicated and loving husband who was happily married for 43 years to his soul mate, Denise Burns.

Timothy is survived by his wife Denise, his son Patrick Burns married to Michaela Burns, two grandchildren Caiden and Kinsley Burns, along with his two sisters; Maureen Powell married to Jim Powell and Kathleen Servick married to Joseph Servick of Ohio.

Timothy was an avid outdoorsman. Enjoying all sporting activities, but with a special passion for fishing, hunting, and golfing. Timothy loved entertaining, Notre Dame and Michigan football, beaches, blue water, great food, and great company. Timothy was a true pillar for his family and friends and was most proud of the lasting memories they created together. His devotion to the ones he loved had no bounds.

Timothy is preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret Burns, and two brothers William Burns and Michael Burns.

*A Celebration of Life will be held at Coral Ridge Cemetery in Cape Coral, Florida on February 10, 2024.
