Patricia Ann Kechik, 60, late of Cape Coral, FL and formerly of Gurnee, IL, passed away on September 9, 2023. At once a prayerful, soulful being and an explosion of love and laughter, she left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to meet her.
Tricia was brilliant in mind and spirit and a servant to all. In her exemplary career as a CPA, her clients included corporations and not-for-profits, associations and individuals. She was also an avid volunteer who advocated for many causes and organizations and could rally others to lend their support. Tricia earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from DePaul University in Chicago.
Golfer, sailor, hostess – whatever she did, she did well, had fun and made sure those around her enjoyed themselves. Not complacent or patient, she was always on the move, learning, growing, and sharing her gifts. Her children, she said, were her greatest inspiration.
Tricia was loved and respected by a host of family, friends and colleagues who appreciated her passion and honesty, her vitality and kindness.
Tricia was a fierce mom, loving mimi, devoted wife, fervent sister, nurturing aunt and loyal friend. She will forever be remembered for the enthusiasm with which she lived life and the grace with which she greeted death.
She is survived by her beloved husband Greg, children Joy (Adam) Pierce, Grant (Natalie) and James Kechik, granddaughter Evelyn Parker Pierce, sister Elizabeth (George) Francis, and many beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Rosalie Corcoran and her grandparents.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
