Norma Elaine Royer

Norma E. (Meckes) Royer, 79 of St. James City, FL and formerly of Slatington, PA died peacefully on Saturday, July 15th at her home after years long battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Laury’s Station, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman D. and Thelma F. (Peters) Meckes. She was the wife of Ronald L Royer whom she was married to for 61 years on June 2, 2023.

Norma spent her early years working for Paris Neck Wear and Stanley Vidmar and once she had her three children and dedicated her life to them as a homemaker and helped run the family farm in Slatington, PA she also worked at Koenig-Pretempco, Inc once her children were grown. Her hobbies included hunting and fishing with her husband. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s U.C.C. Church in Laury’s Station, PA. She was also active for many years as a member of the Rose Croix Chapter #235 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors: Norma is survived by her husband Ronald; three children, Ryan L. husband of Sherry W, Schnecksville, PA; Chad L. husband of Heather L. Slatington, PA; Rae, partner of Garett J. Wootton, North Palm Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Diane T. Laub in 2012.
