Mary T Slama passed away peacefully on December 29th 2017, two years after her beloved husband of 64 years, Bob Slama. Mary moved to Cape Coral from New York in 1971. Where she had a long and blessed life. The matriarch of our family, Mary pursued a career in education, working with the Dean of Students in Edison College for many years and then at FGCU. She loved working with children and people of all ages, supporting their education both formally and informally. Sharing her wisdom, strength and courage through stories that shaped her life. Mary was smart, passionate and her generosity was unmatched.
She was an incredible Mom who loved her children and family immeasurably.
We love her and will miss her so.
Mary is survived by her children Anne Marie, Carole, Robert and Debbie. And her grandchildren Brian, Adam and John. She’s now at peace rejoining the love of her life, Bob in heaven.
Services will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral home at 11am on Thursday January 4th and viewing will take place on Wednesday January 3rd from 11am -1pm and 5-7pm at Coral Ridge Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in her honor to the charity she was so fond of, St Jude’s children’s research hospital.
