Mary Lucille Saddler Corey

Mary Lucille Corey, 88 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011. She was born on January 31, 1923 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Leon and Lucille Saddler. Mrs. Corey has lived here since 1978. She was a member of Grace Church. She was a bookkeeper for the Woolworth Corporation. She taught Release Time Bible Study for inner city school children, was a host for New Hope Organization, housing unwed mothers. Mrs. Corey was involved with Girl Scouts, Vacation Bible School and assisted in the Church Nursery. She enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing.

She is survived by her loving family including her children, Elaine (John) Montague, Vincent Corey, Jr., James Corey, Sharon Corey, Jeanne (Martin) Schaefer; grandchildren, Autumn Harrington, Allison Schaefer, Kendall Schaefer, Joshua Montague, Meagan Montague, Traci Egging, Jody Crouse, Elisha Hartranft, Derrick Backus; great grandchildren, Michael Kinney, Brittni Crouse, Brooke Egging, Luke Egging, Taylor Backus; sister, Agnes Carson; sisters in law, Laura Saddler, Amelia March; and brother in law, Leslie (Ruth) Corey. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent in 1996.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the funeral service at 2 pm on Saturday, March 12th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, with burial to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
