Frances Marie Lewis

Frances was born March 24, 1940, the daughter of Woodrow and Sadie Varner (Perrigan), who preceded her in death. Her sister, Louise Gibbs, a brother, Jack Varner, a grandson Corey Lee Mason, and son-in-law Jonathan Mason also preceded her.

Surviving are her children, Richard & Susan Lewis of Grand Tower, Lisa (Lewis) & Don Neace of Cape Coral, Florida, James Tracy and Pamela Lewis of Murphysboro, Kelly (Lewis) Mason of Murphysboro, and John & Linda Lewis of Johnson City. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, one brother, Norman Varner of Murphysboro, 6 nieces, and ex-husband Bobby D. Lewis of Murphysboro.

Frances was a kind, Christian woman who loved all of her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was an active member of Water’s Edge Church, Cape Coral, Florida.

Services will be held on Monday, December 2nd at Crain Funeral Home in Murphysboro. Friends will gather from 11 to 1pm with the funeral service following at 1pm. Pastor, Dr. Donald W. Neace, will be officiating the funeral service.
