Carol Anne Jordan Bullock, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2024, at the age of 78. She is survived by her son John Eric Bullock of Stratford, NY; her brother William John Jordan, III (Katherine) of Jacksonville, FL; her sister Constance Jordan Crawford (Bobbie) of Ft. Myers; her brother Colin Allenby of Las Vegas, NV; her step-son Paul Joseph Bullock of Gainesville, FL; and by six nieces and nephews and fifteen great-nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband Paul Bullock and her parents William John Jordan, Jr. and Blanche Whitfield Jordan.
Carol was born in Richmond, VA, on October 6, 1945. Her family moved to Ft. Myers in 1954 after her father developed polio. She was baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Carol graduated from Ft. Myers High School in 1964 and from Jones Business College in Jacksonville, FL. On December 7, 1968, she married Paul Bullock. They subsequently moved to Michigan and later to New York State where they lived until Paul’s retirement. From there they returned to Florida and settled in Cape Coral where she resided at the time of her death.
Carol worked as an administrative secretary. In 2001, she was employed by McDonald’s Corporation and spent time in New York City preparing and serving meals to rescue workers and police officers following 9/11.
As the oldest of three children, she was like a mother to Connie, the youngest, and always told her she “raised me from a pup.” Carol was very protective and had little patience with “Billy” if he didn’t watch Connie closely enough or allowed her to wander off, and she always made sure that Connie knew how much she loved her.
Carol was deeply loved by family and friends alike and will be greatly missed. She was friendly, vivacious, and energetic. Carol was witty and funny, often causing family to laugh until they cried over the silliest things. She loved animals and always had a German Shepherd and one or two cats as pets. She was also artistically talented and loved trying new craft activities including painted canvas rugs, garden art made from vintage dishes, acrylic pour painting, watercolors, and most recently, crocheting adorable stuffed animals.
Carol was very giving and supported a variety of charities, especially those which aided children and the poor.
Following cremation, Carol’s remains will be interred next to her husband Paul in Dibble Tuttle Cemetery in Salisbury Center, NY. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.
