Rosemary passed away peacefully on October 20, 2020 in Plano, Texas. She was born on June 2, 1929 in Canton, Texas to Amos Pitt and Grace Thompson Pitt.
She grew up in the Canton area. Rosemary played the drums in high school and took up playing the piano, which she continued to play her whole life. In 1951 she married Robert R. Rogers and they raised two children. Rosemary was Southern Baptist by faith. Rosemary and Roger were members of Park Cities Baptist Church for many years after moving to the Dallas area. She was very artistic; painting, sewing and quilting came natural to her. Rosemary enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Ladies Garden Club in Mesquite. She was a caring person. Rosemary was an RN for many years, devoted to those she cared for. Rosemary adored and loved her family. She was a ray of sunshine to all that knew her. Rosemary will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Grace Pitt; beloved husband, Robert Rogers; and brother, Burl Pitt.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann Obenhaus; son, Robert L. Rogers; grandchildren, Laura Obenhaus, Jason Obenhaus, Whitney Runyon, Will Rogers; and six great grandchildren.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Haven of Memories Cemetery.
