Mary Anna Dolores Jackson

Mary went home to heaven on November 15, 2024 in Tyler, Texas. She was born in Dallas, Texas on March 24, 1943 to Odell Pruitt and Christine Brummette Pruitt.

Mary grew up in Dallas but lived in the Ben Wheeler area since the early 1970s. She loved her life in the rural area and was the owner/operator of her own beauty parlor, Mary's Hair Post, for many years. Mary was an outgoing and friendly lady. Ladies and men came to her for the best cut and friendliest conversations!

Mary was a long time member of Midway Assembly of God Church and was active in church. Mary loved the Lord and telling others of His love for them. Mary enjoyed time with her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. The family will cherish her memory but rejoice she is with the Lord and they will see her again.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Christine Pruitt; beloved husband, George Jackson, Sr.; son, Marvin Drinning.

She is survived by her son, Robert Drinning; step-sons: George, James and Randy; step-daughter, Paula; grandchildren: Den Drinning, Daniel Drinning, Nicole Athens and Ella Drinning; great grandchildren, Lexi Drinning and Chrissy Drinning; and many other friends and family.

Mary will be laid to rest next to her beloved George, at Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler, Texas.
