Marjorie Ann Duncan

Marjorie Ann Duncan, 86, of Canton, Texas went home to the Lord peacefully on September 22, 2024. A service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Lakeside Baptist Church, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Pastor Justin Howe officiating.

Marjorie was born in Santa Rosa, California on May 21, 1938, to William Rogers and Lorraine Griffin Rogers. She was Pentecostal by faith and was a faithful servant to the Lord. Marjorie married her beloved, Robert Duncan, on September 16, 1989. The couple had nearly 35 beautiful years of marriage at his passing in February.

Marjorie was a loving person. She dearly loved her family and her dog, Annie. Marjorie enjoyed the simple things in life. Watching a good western, playing cards, going for long walks. She could be found spending time reading her Bible and talking with God. The best days were days with family, laughter, and love.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents: father, Bill Rogers, mother, Lorriane Rogers Herman; stepfather, Leonard Herman; beloved husband, Robert Duncan Sr.; son, Bruce Quisenberry; stepson, Robert Duncan Jr.; sister, Patricia.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Debbie Sherwood; son, Brad Quisenberry; stepdaughter, Mynetta Read, stepdaughter, Shannon Clark; grandchildren: Chris Sherwood, Chuck Sherwood, Cessily Lester, Kevin Quisenberry, Robert Grizzell, Roger Grizzell Jr., Jesalyn Grizzell, Luke Grizzell, Kara Clark, Joe Andrews; great grandchildren: Kaitilyn Sherwood, Chris Sherwood, Brayden Sherwood, Ethan Sherwood, Lucas Sherwood, Valerie Sherwood, Samuel Lester, William Lester, Penelope Lester, Abigail Lester, Makayla Jones, Carl Hambrick, Lauren Grizzell, Chloe Grizzell, Seamus Guthmann, Ryker Grizzell, Haidyn Austin; 2 great great grandchildren; stepmother, Mary Rogers; a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service at Lakeside Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Sherwood, Chuck Sherwood, Brayden Sherwood, Chris J. Sherwood, Luke Grizzell, Robert Grizzell, Roger Grizzell and James Sherwood (honorary).

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
