Linda Lou Carpenter, 76, passed away September 26, 2024 in Canton. She was born July 14, 1948, in Portland, Oregon to Russell and Mary Tomlinson Ragland.
Linda grew up in Missouri and moved to Texas in 1974. Her dedication to taking care of her family and her love of work allowed her to accumulate expertise in a number of fields. Linda was always willing to help someone when needed, and although she enjoyed working, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them more. She was resilient in every way possible, brought up those around her to have the same tenacity, and loved fiercely.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, David Carpenter. She is survived by her son, Todd Harris; daughter, Amy and Rick Ojeda; three grandchildren: Brittany Harris, Olivia Ojeda and Ricky Ojeda; two great-grandchildren: Jaxson and Avery Tucker; brother, Jim Ragland; sister, Judy Vaughn-Fergen; and three nieces: Mary Santillan, Dawn Heath and Samantha McCulley.
