Mr. Daniel passed away December 23, 2024 in Athens. He was born September 11, 1932 in Linden, TX to James Armond and Willie Bertha King Daniel.
James was a Mason for over 50 years and a member of the Teamsters Local 745 Dallas, TX. As his granddaughter Ashley said, "The best Pa! A man of few words but would do anything for you! He got dragged to so many dance recitals, sporting events, hotel parties, dinner at his least favorite place (Applebee's) and the list could go on but didn't complain once." He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Lavon Daniel; parents; and six siblings: Hazel, Jean, Willie, Edie Claire, Bob and Roy Wayne.
James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jed and Belynda Daniel; two grandchildren and their spouses: Ashley and Nathan Young and Tanner and Brooke Daniel; six great-grandchildren: Korbin Young, Weston Daniel, Bowen Young, Caroline Daniel, Collins Daniel and McKoy Daniel; and a sister, Doris Marie.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Daniel, Rodney Leffel, Nathan Young, Brian Ponikiewski and Ryan McCullough.
