Frances went home to the Lord on January 26, 2024, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born on January 12, 1929, in Kerens, Texas to Jessie Perry and Emma McDaniel Perry.
Frances lived a long, fulfilling, and beautiful life. She married the love of her life, Clint Glasgow, on December 28, 1946. They spent 46 precious years together on this earth before he gained his wings on June 24, 1992. She was God-loving and a longtime member of the 1st Baptist Church in Canton, Texas. Frances spent much of her time in her enormous front yard. She was a wonderful gardener and she grew the most beautiful flowers. Whatever the circumstance, Frances saw the good in everyone. Always the first to step in to help, she was the person anyone could trust and count on for anything. If you found yourself at her house, you did not leave without getting a glass of sweet tea. Frances enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. The family was most important to her.
Frances will be dearly missed, but she will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clint Glasgow; son, Jessie Glasgow; brothers, Junior Perry, Wayne Perry, Glenn Perry, and Eddie Perry; granddaughter, Windie Glasgow; and her parents, Jessie and Emma Perry.
Frances is survived by her children, Julie Glasgow and significant other Marcus Gross, John Glasgow and wife Liz, Jeffery Glasgow; sisters, Lois Bancroft and Dorothy Hume, grandchildren: Clint Edward Glasgow, Kevin Glasgow, Melissa Glasgow, Josh Glasgow, Jeremy Glasgow, Jason James Glasgow; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
The interment will be at Prairie Point Cemetery in Kerens, Texas.
