Elizabeth Ann Welch

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Welch, 90, of Athens, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton TX with Bro. David Lewis officiating. Visitation will be one-hour prior at 12:00 noon.

Elizabeth went home to the Lord on June 21, 2021 in Athens, Texas. She was born on February 22, 1931 in Southern Van Zandt County to Minnie Chamblee and J. T. Wycough.

Elizabeth attended Canton schools and graduated from Canton High School in 1948 and married the love of her life, C. R. “Bob” Welch, in 1950.

The couple moved to Athens, Texas in 1993 and joined the First Methodist Church. Elizabeth loved the Lord and her church. She was active in the Crafty Ladies, United Methodist Women and sang with the Methodist Singers. Elizabeth’s pride and joy were her family. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert “Bob” Welch.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Jr. and Elaine Welch, Tim and Debbie Welch, Mark and Holly Welch; grandchildren, Robert and Talana Welch, T. J. and Crystal Welch, Lindsay and Dean Tackett, Heather Welch Foster and Phillip Welch; great grandchildren, Ryann Foster, Logan Foster, Beckett Foster, Carson Welch, Cason Welch, Caleb Tackett, Molly Tackett, Jackson Welch, Easton Welch and Greyson Welch.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
