Edward passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 25, 2021. He was born on June 24, 1952 in Ennis, Texas to Raymond and Evelyn Colston.
Edward grew up in Sanger, Texas and graduated from Sanger High School. On November 7, 1972 he married his one true love, Sheri Self. The couple had 48 wonderful years together. Edward’s passion was being a rodeo judge. He judged for the UPRA, CPRA, PRCA and LRCA. Throughout his career as a judge he was voted Judge of the Year several times. This year he will be inducted into the UPRA Hall of Fame as one of the most outstanding judges in professional rodeo. Edward was a Godly man that loved his family dearly. He leaves an empty place in the hearts of those that loved him.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Sheri Colston; son and daughter in-law, Kyle and Carissa Colston; daughter, Tracie Colston; grandchildren, Kaila and Hunter Hudson, Baylie Colston, Taylor Colston, Johnny Colston; great grandchild, Collin Hudson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn Colston; one sister and several brothers.
