A funeral service to Celebrate the Life of David Lawson Eubanks Jr., 68, of Mabank, Texas will be held on December 21, 2024, at C Life Church in Canton, Texas under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home and Bro. Jeremy Fisher officiating.
David went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1956, in Knoxville, Tennessee to David Lawson Eubanks Sr., and Margaret Perry Eubanks.
David grew up in Knoxville Tennessee and graduated from Doyle High School. He went on to earn a degree at Johnson Bible College, the second oldest continuing Bible college in the US.
David met and married his one true love, Kim Smith, 35 years ago. And, recently celebrated 35 years with a trip to Switzerland. The couple built a wonderful life and raised two amazing children, David and Whitni. David and Kim moved to the area 25 years ago living a wonderful life at the ranch, also known as Oak Meadows. David loved old cars, especially his Camaro SS. He even took a weeklong trip with a dear friend driving all over America. David and Kim took beautiful trips, traveling to many and different countries, taking in the wonders of the world God made.
David was Christian by faith. He and Kim found a church home at C Life Church. David enjoyed watching sports on tv, but on the Pickleball courts he was a beast, enjoying the game so much he had Kim playing in no time. David’s favorite movie was “It’s a Wonderful Life”. He loved the story and the Christian message it told.
Today we celebrate David and the blessing he was in each of our lives.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Eubanks; daughter, Whitni Eubanks; son, David Lawson Eubanks III; mother, Margaret Eubanks; father, David Lawson Eubanks Sr.; sister, Linnie Kearns; brother, Philip Eubanks; and Dolly, his furry companion; due to David, never meeting a stranger, he also had many friends and family.
David will be laid to rest at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
The family will receive visitors at C Life church in Canton, Texas on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
