Cleta Mae Shelton

Services for Cleta Mae Shelton, 77, of Canton are scheduled for 1 pm Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Dr. Mark Moore, Bro. Mike Calhoun and Dr. Mike Hackney officiating. Interment will be in the Starr Cemetery.

Mrs. Shelton passed away at home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. She was born November 12, 1938 in Canton to Leroy and Inez Bailey White.

Cleta was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton. She attended the Wentworth School and transferred to Canton in the third grade. She graduated from Canton High School in 1957. Mrs. Shelton retired from the Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages after 40 years of service. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Cleta was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for church events.

Mrs. Shelton is preceded in death by her parents and son, Bruce Darrell Shelton.

Cleta is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronnie Darrell Shelton; son and his wife, Randy and Lori Shelton; 2 grandsons: Jordan Lee and Cameron Michael Shelton; 2 sisters: Faye Nell Walls, and Novell and Gordon Allen; brother-in-law, Carl and Virginia Shelton; aunt, Irene Wells and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the In-Joy Sunday School Class of Lakeside Baptist.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
