Services for Carl Allen West, 63, of Athens, TX are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Mark Parkerson and Bro. Perry Smith officiating.

Carl passed away July 3, 2018 in Tyler, TX.

He was born March 28, 1955 in Amarillo, TX to David James West and Nora Mae Frazier.

Carl grew up in Amarillo and attended school in Athens, TX where he played high school football. He married Susie Godwin on February 14, 1972 and the two lived in East Texas. Carl enjoyed working around his farm and shop with his dog Timbo. He worked for TDCJ for 25 years before retiring.

He is survived by his Wife, Susie West; Son, Randy West; Brother, Wendall & Claire Bass; Brother, Mark & Donna Bass; Brother-in-Law, Dan & Cathie Godwin; Nieces & Nephews: Emily, Zoe, Josh, Kirianna, Irinna,Leah & Stacey; and Great Nieces & Nephews: Cody, Ty, Karli, Jason, Ashley & Kay.

Carl is preceded in death by his Parents, David & Nora West.

Interment will be an Haven of Memories in Canton, TX.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
