A memorial service for Bill Williams, 70, of Canton, will be held 3 pm Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Dennis Hogan, Dr. Elton Ray Davis and Dr. Tim Eberhart officiating.
Bill passed away at his home April 13, 2019. He was born September 29, 1948, in Lafayette, TX near Pittsburg, to Obie Wesley and Corine Nipper Williams.
Mr. Williams was a hard worker. He was the ranch foreman for Charles and Dorothy Branton's Branton Polled Hereford Farm for 28 years. Bill then worked as a large animal tech for Dr. Davis and Dr. Eberhart at Canton Veterinary Clinic for several years. After retiring for a few short weeks, he began working for Dale Hester on his ranch for 12 years. Bill loved to eat, especially when it was steak, chicken fried steak and catfish. He really enjoyed watching his granddaughters play soccer and his grandsons ride dirt bikes and play in the band.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Obie Wesley and Corine Nipper Williams; and an uncle and aunt, Aubrey and Mert Nipper.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Lynn McGary Williams, of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Wesley and Rhonda Kay Williams of Mabank; daughter and son-in-law, Amy Lynn and Duane Sharp of Tyler; four grandchildren: Gavyn Wayne Lingo, Jordan Lee Williams, Hannah Lynn Sharp and Nicole Angelina Sharp; two brothers and their wives: O.W. and Linda Williams of Splendora and Bobby O'Neal and Mary Williams of Ben Wheeler; sister and her husband, Linda Faye Williams Helpenstill and Roy Helpenstill of Gilmer; and several nieces and nephews.
