Angela passed away July 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 21, 1973, in Dallas, Texas to Joel Samuel and Nancy Laraine (Gray) DuBose. Angela grew up loving to travel while listening to Christian music. She had a passion for genealogy and anyone who met her, loved her. In later years, Angela earned her Master’s degree and began teaching. Having a degree in Journalism, everyone referred to her as the grammar police when she corrected signs she saw with poor spelling. Angela had a skill that allowed her to reach out to children and teach them invaluable life lessons. She imparted on them the love of reading and in doing so, developed a relationship with every child she taught that would last a lifetime. Friends described her basically as, “She smiled, she laughed, she loved”.
Angela is preceded in death by her father Sam DuBose; her maternal grandparents, Lewis and Aileen Gray; and her paternal grandparents, Francis and Imo Dene DuBose.
She is survived by her caring family, mother Nancy DuBose; sister, Jana Taylor and husband, Steven; nieces, Samantha Taylor, Julianna Taylor; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; past teachers and students, and a special bond with the amazing faculty, staff and students at Martin’s Mill ISD.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in Angela’s honor to The Hospice of East Texas.
A memorial service to honor Angela will take place at Eubank Funeral Home on July 29, 2023, at 10:00am.
