Tony Perkins Jaggers, 78, husband of Olga Martinez Jaggers, passed on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Rose Lane Nursing Home after suffering a stroke. Born September 22, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Beverly Archer and Joe Hall Jaggers.
After attending college to study geology, Tony served in the US Navy and Army. After 20 years of service, he moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida. An amateur military historian, avid reader, and treasure hunter with an encyclopedic knowledge of Spanish Shipwrecks, he self-published his book “A Shipwreck Guide to the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, 1500 to 1990s” in 1994. In 2006 he retired to Belize and later he met and married Olga in 2010 before returning to Florida in 2018.
His wife, Olga Jaggers and her son, Brandon Duran; grandsons, Reese Cleary and Nicholas Cleary; brothers, Joseph Timothy (Kathleen) Jaggers, David Andrew (Laurie) Jaggers; and sister, Elizabeth Archer Jaggers (Luke Schrader) survive.
He was preceded in death by brother, Richard Craddock Jaggers; and daughter, Jennifer Marie Cleary. A service will be held at a later date in 2023, after which he will be inurned at the columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery.
