Lawrence R. Harris Sr.

He was born September 22, 1936 in Cleveland, OH to the late Donald Harris, Sr. and Elisabeth (Alfred) Rehor. Lawrence was a graduate of Maple Heights High School, and a veteran of the US Navy Reserve where he served on the USS Cod. He worked for Sears for 35 years, was a member of North Canton Hawks R/C Flying Club, and a former member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie M. Harris; brother, James Harris; sister, Jean Simmelink; granddaughter, DeAnna Harris; and beloved dog, Cinnamon. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lapham; children, Sandra E. Jackson, Lawrence Harris, Jr., and Gregory S. (Jennifer) Harris; grandchildren, Cortney Jackson, Christopher (Amanda) Jackson, Latisha Jackson, and Gregory L. Harris; great-grandchildren, Blake Saunier, Jr., Jaylen Burch, Ma'Layah Ware, and Rylan Jackson; brother, Donald Harris II; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Lawrence will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
