Jane Ann Barrett

Jane was born to the late Samuel and Teresa Butcher. In addition, to her husband and parents, Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Boland. She was a graduate of East High School in Akron and Hamel Actual Business College.

She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, Mama, and friend. Jane leaves behind her children, Michael (Julie) Barrett of Greer, SC, Patricia (James) Fletcher of Dublin, OH, and David (Melanie) Barrett of Cumming, GA. She was known by Mama to her grandchildren, Megan Fletcher, Erik (Heather) Fletcher, Andrew (Diana) Barrett, Colin Barrett, Erin Riley, and Lauren (Neal) White. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kensington, Kerrigan, Anderson, Calloway, Barrett, Brigid, Colton, Nora, Katie, Devin, and Connor.

Jane was an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in North Canton for 61 years. She was also a devoted Cleveland Indians fan and never missed watching a game! Mama will be missed beyond measure. She lived a wonderful life and raised an incredible family.

Calling hours will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home the evening of Tuesday, April 20 from 5-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21. Masks are required; social distancing will be practiced; and gathering limits will be enforced. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
