Carol was born in Massillon on December 20, 1948 to the late Albert and Shirley (Gorous) Holman. Carol graduated from Washington High School in Massillon. Carol loved spending time outside, especially at the pool. She was a loyal patron of the Dogwood Pool in North Canton, the Rec Center in Massillon, and the Aultman West Pool and spent as much time at the pool with her friends that she could. She was a lover of flowers, bingo, and feeding the squirrels, birds, and deer. Carol was also a sports fan, especially of the Massillon Tigers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Indians.
Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband Gary Ruby, and her daughter, Kitty Stubbs-Mills.
Per Carol's wishes, she was cremated and laid to rest at Sunset Hills Burial Park. A memorial gathering for Carol will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dogwood Park Shelter, 241 7th Street NE, North Canton, OH 44720.
