Scott Shore of Quincy passed away peacefully on Friday February 9, 2024 at 58 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted son of the late Jack and Alma (Bornstein) Shore, beloved brother of Brenda Shore of Braintree, and Gary Shore and his wife Dilma of Salinas, CA. Uncle to Jennifer Shore and Amanda Alvarado of Salinas, CA. Scott loved being outdoors and exploring nature. It was the beauty of nature and his many long walks that provided inspiration for his literary pieces. Writing was a passion for Scott. Though he hadn’t yet accomplished his life long dream to be published, Scott continued to persevere in his writings with the hope to entertain his readers and inspire them as well. He was an avid baseball fan especially of the Boston Red Sox. For the past several years Scott took on the role of caretaker. His commitment to this role enabled senior family members to live fulfilling and quality lives in the familiar surroundings of their own home. His devotion to his family was a beautiful gift. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Following the service, Shiva will take place at Scott’s former residence on Monday, February 12th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
