Phyllis Ellen Godes, 76, of Stoughton passed away on Friday, July 12th, 2024 after a short, hard fought battle with brain cancer. Phyllis was born in Boston to the late Eva (Levenson) and Louis Lasky on March 5, 1948, and grew up in Mattapan before settling in Stoughton. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, the late Linda Lombardi.
She was a hardworking, single mom who gave her all for her family, which made her the strong, independent woman we all knew and loved. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends, hosting the Jewish Holidays and, for those who knew her best, she loved a good find at Marshalls. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Phyllis leaves behind her beloved daughters, Anissa Tomyl and her husband Walter of Hudson and Lauren Godes of Stoughton; her cherished grandchildren Olivia, Hannah, Eli and Jacob and her group of close friends
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 17th at 10:45 AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
Shiva will be immediately following services at her late residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Phyllis’s memory to the Glioblastoma Foundation at www.glioblastomafoundation.org
