

Herb is a retired member of the Boston Fire Department (Eng. 55) and retired US Coast Guard Reserves (42 years), He's also a present member of Local 718, past president of the Boston Sparks Association, current member of SPAAMFA, Gulf Coast Retirees and FMBA. Loving Husband, Father and honorary "Uncle" to many.
Herb also leaves behind his wife and caregiver, Margaret (Peggie) to whom he would be married in August for 47 years, his children, Jill and son, Jeff and his fiance, Kristin Helgaard. Also leaving behind is his brother-in-law, Bill, sister-in-law, Kathy, a niece, Christina, cousins, Nathana, Ron, Wilma, Art, Robert, Judy and Suzanne. Son of the late Julius and Ruth (Kritzman) Pearlstein and late brother, Allan. Also in his life were his mother-in-law Benvenuta (Bennie) Howe and father-in-law, Charlie Howe.
Herb was a talented guy wearing many hats. He was the proud owner and operator of Cedarcliff Service, a snow plow and auto repair business he had for many years.
Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester. A gathering in Herb's honor following interment will be announced at the service.
