Carol Goldstein Mason of Canton, MA formerly of Randolph, MA, entered into rest on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard M. Mason and the late David M. Goldstein.
Born in Everett, MA on June 25, 1934, she was the second daughter of the late Joseph & Ida (Perkins) Beck. Carol grew up in Quincy, MA and graduated from The Woodward School for Girls in Quincy. After high school, she attended the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston, MA. Carol worked as a Dental Hygienist for several local dental practices over her career.
She was a devoted member of Temple Beth David of the South Shore and in her spare time she loved to cook for family and her many friends. Always active, she enjoyed her exercise classes, dancing, cross country skiing and swimming. A lifelong learner, Carol was a member of several book clubs and was still taking classes at UMASS Boston through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Carol will be lovingly remembered for her kind and open heart, boundless energy, non-judgemental manner, and her resilient spirit.
Devoted mother of Steven Goldstein & his wife Mary Pinto, Joyce Goldstein, Lisa Goldstein & her husband Gong-Xi Lu. Devoted stepmother of Ann Colby & her husband Chuck and the late Miriam Mason and David Mason. Loving sister of Judy Workman and the late Myrna Fox. Cherished grandmother of Gregory Goldstein, Daniel Goldstein, Jamaal Mason, Jaden Mason, Samantha Colby, Rachel Colby, and Alex Colby.
Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, CANTON, MA on Thursday, July 11th at 10 AM, followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park.
A reception immediately following burial will be held at Temple Beth David of the South Shore, 1060 Randolph Street, Canton, MA.
Shiva will be observed at her new apartment in Canton on Thursday from 5-8PM with Minyan at 7PM and Friday from 1-4PM.
