April 14, 1922 - July 2, 2018 Dorothy was born in Minot, ND. She was raised in St. Paul, MN along with her brothers, Gene, Bill and Dick, and her sister Shirley. In 1941 she moved to Washington, D.C. to be a stenographer in the War Department. She met Walter B. Stone there and they were married on May 29, 1941. She worked in the Pentagon as a secretary in the Military Intelligence section of the War Dept. during WWII. She and Wally moved to CA in 1943 to work at the shipyards in Long Beach as part of the war effort. They remained in the SoCal area and settled in Reseda where their three children were born. They were very active in Little League, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the Blythe St. PTA in the 1950's. In the early 1960's they moved to Vienna, VA to accommodate Dorothy's job as secretary to Dr. Cheatham, V.P. of the Applied Science Division of Litton Ind. In the 1970's they moved back to the west SFV where they opened an accounting/tax prep/secretarial business, which they operated until their retirement in 1984. Dorothy and Wally were married a remarkable 55 years. Dorothy loved to socialize and travel with family and friends. She was the matriarch of the family and never missed an important event. She even traveled to China at the age of 88 to attend a grandnephew's wedding. She kept up with friends, family and current events right up to the end.
