Shirley Marion O'Toole

Shirley was born on February 10, 1948 in Tracadie, NB to the late William Kenny and the late Mary Legresley.

Shirley worked as the head nurse for the late Dr. Armando Voges for over 20 years. She loved to travel with her family exploring destinations in Canada and throughout the world. She enjoyed walking, watching curling, figure skating and most of all spending her Friday Nights supporting her favourite hockey team, the Campbellton Tigers. Shirley spent time at the rink volunteering for Provincial and National Figure Skating Events and with the Northern Female Midget AAA Hockey Team. Nature and outdoor adventures such as canoeing, digging clams, and picking berries allowed Shirley to spend quality time with her family and friends. Shirley valued, cherished, and loved her family and friends from Coast to Coast.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Troy (Alison) O’Toole, Michael (Shelley) O’Toole. She is also survived by her sisters Verna (Ronald) Richard and Betty-Ann (Frank) Berkshire and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her brothers Edwin (Jeannette) Kenny, Ronald Kenny and sister Emma-Jean (Laurie) Breau.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to her Extra-Mural Support Team, the many physicians who supported the family, and the Oncology and Palliative Care Units at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

A Funeral Service for Shirley will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Monday, December 23 at 11:00 am.

The family will welcome family and friends at Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St. Campbellton on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
