Born, raised, and living her whole life in Campbellton, Sharon was the eldest daughter of Emile and Doris Berube of Hillside Street, Sharon was a very proud sister of the Berube Family and a proud Hillsider.
Sharon was very generous with her time and enjoyed being involved, whether that was while working at Sharpe’s Construction, D&D Construction, or volunteering with various charities and organizations. Sharon was a Girl Guide Leader with the Girl Guides of Canada for more than 20 years, treasurer and Team Captain for many bowling leagues including the Pink Ladies, and longtime member of UCT [United Commercial Travelers where Sharon served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Campbellton Council as well as the Atlantic Council. Sharon really enjoyed helping others, and brought her great joy.
A nature lover, avid camper, and fly-fisher on the famous Restigouche River, with her husband Chester by her side, Sharon shared her love of the outdoors with friends from many walks of life. Later in life, Sharon enjoyed travelling with Chester.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband Chester in 2008. Sharon is survived by her daughters Stephanie (Pierre), and Kristina (Tim) Ottawa, her grandson Justin, her great-grandson Ayden, her many brothers and sisters, as well as many friends and extended family members. Sharon will be missed dearly.
A funeral service will be held on July 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, NB.
Visitations will be held on July 2, 2024, between 2:00-4:00 pm at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St, Campbellton, and on Wednesday from 9:30 until time of funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
