We are so sad to announce the death of Pamela Christine Stewart of Flatlands, NB on Wednesday, September 6th, 2017. Born in Saint John, NB on August 13th, 1948, she was the second daughter of Frank and Patricia Stewart. The family moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia in the early ‘60s.
Pam had a wonderfully adventurous spirit, even at an early age, climbing the tallest trees and enjoying the freedom of a child in the country. This love for adventure followed her throughout her life, and provided many wonderful memories and stories. Oh, how she could tell those stories!
Pam achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University, and worked many years with Family & Children Services in Windsor, Nova Scotia. She was a staunch supporter of human rights and had great empathy for the poor and disadvantaged. She decried the inequities that are so prevalent in our present society and put her beliefs into actions.
Pam will be dearly missed by her families (both in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and by so many who were fortunate to call her friend.
We wish to thank Dr. Yacoub and the dedicated staff at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Pam received such wonderful care.
