Geraldine was born on April 26, 1931 in Woodstock, NB to the late Lillian (Deveau) Polchies and to the late Frank Polchies.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great mother to humans and animals alike. She was a small woman physically but a force to be reckoned with. She was known to everyone as Geri and to her family as Jay, nan or G.S.B.
A teacher by profession, but really a ‘Jack of all Trades’. There are so many words to describe this dear lady – loving, kind, caring, wise, honest, humble and very strong.
She was a rare gem, beautiful inside and out.
The world was a better place with her in it.
She will be truly missed by those of us who knew and loved her, and she will live on forever in our memories of her and the knowledge that she passed on to so many of us.
To live in the hearts of those we love, is not to die.
She is survived by her children Beverly, Dawn (Clifford) and Anita (Ron). Her grandchildren Eric (Josee), Lori-Ann, Leah Jay and Duke (Sarah); her great grandchildren Harley, Fox, Hawx, Hannah Jay, Kennedy, Bailey Jay, and Calla Jay; and her great-great grandchildren Timo and Millie Jay. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Eugene and Harold, her sister Martina; and her grandchildren Donald (Timo), Candace and Little Ray.
